The voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of issue, but CompTIA's exam retirement dates take precedence over voucher expiry, so schedule and sit your CS0-004 exam, and any retake, within that time and before CompTIA retires it.

Voucher + Retake Assurance includes a retake: if you do not pass your first attempt, the same voucher covers one retake of the same exam version, within the voucher's 12 months and before CompTIA retires that exam version. The retake is included in the Retake Assurance price. With a single voucher, a retake needs a new voucher. Under CompTIA's retake policy there is no waiting period before a second attempt, and a 14-day wait applies before a third or later attempt.

CS0-004 has four domains: Security Operations (34%), Vulnerability Management (26%), Incident Response and Management (24%), and Reporting and Communication (16%). There are up to 85 questions, multiple choice and performance based, in 165 minutes, and the passing score is 750 on a scale of 100 to 900.

CS0-004. It is the current CySA+ exam, launched on 23 June 2026, and it is the exam our voucher is for. CS0-003 retires in English on 22 December 2026, and in Japanese, Portuguese and Spanish on 23 March 2027.
