Sold by Mindset Cyber PTY LTD (Australia), an Official CompTIA Authorised Partner. The voucher is CompTIA's own and is identical to one bought from the CompTIA Store. Questions: contact us.

Where to buy a Security+ voucher

The voucher code is the same wherever you buy it. Only the price and the service around it change.

  • The CompTIA Store (buying direct). CompTIA sets its own prices and can change them, so check the current figure on the CompTIA Store if you want to compare.
  • Mindset Cyber (CompTIA Authorised Partner). £319 + VAT (£382.80 inc. VAT) for the single voucher, or £423 + VAT (£507.60 inc. VAT) with Retake Assurance. A fixed price in your own currency, with no conversion at checkout. It is the same official voucher code either way.
  • Unauthorised resellers. Cheaper listings exist. The risk is that the code is grey-market or expired, and CompTIA will not help you if it fails at Pearson VUE. Only an Authorised Partner code is generated against a real partner account.

We are an Authorised Partner, so the code you get from us is the one CompTIA would have issued you itself.

Why buy your CompTIA Security+ voucher from Mindset Cyber

  • CompTIA Authorised Partner. Voucher codes generated direct via the official CompTIA partner programme. Same official voucher as buying direct from CompTIA.
  • You are charged what you see. A fixed price in your own currency, set by us, not converted by your card issuer at checkout.
  • PECB Titanium Partner. The same Mindset Cyber operations team that delivers our PECB ISO 27001 and ISO 42001 training.
  • Email delivery within 24 hours. Your voucher code is emailed to you within 24 hours of payment.
  • Optional Retake Assurance. For first-time candidates who want a safety net on a single voucher purchase.

Frequently asked questions

How much is a CompTIA Security+ exam voucher?

£319 + VAT (£382.80 inc. VAT) for a single SY0-701 voucher, or £423 + VAT (£507.60 inc. VAT) for the voucher with Retake Assurance. UK buyers are charged 20% UK VAT at checkout.

Do you charge UK VAT?

Yes. UK buyers are charged 20% UK VAT at checkout, on top of the price shown, and the VAT is shown on the receipt. A UK business that enters a valid VAT number at checkout is not charged VAT. The receipt is suitable for employer or business reimbursement.

Is this an official CompTIA voucher?

Yes. Mindset Cyber is a CompTIA Authorised Partner. The voucher code we deliver is generated by CompTIA and is identical to one bought direct from the CompTIA Store.

How quickly will I receive the voucher?

Within 24 hours of successful payment. The voucher code is emailed to the address you provide at checkout. We pull each code from the CompTIA partner portal on demand and confirm it to you by email.

How long is the voucher valid?

12 months from the date of issue, but CompTIA's exam retirement date takes precedence. SY0-701 retires on 11 June 2027, so schedule and sit it, and any retake, within the 12 months and before that date, in person or via online proctoring.

Can I take the exam online?

Yes. Schedule the exam through Pearson VUE and choose OnVUE online proctoring, paying with your exam voucher at the Review and Pay step. You can also sit the exam in person at any Pearson VUE testing centre globally.

What if I fail the exam?

If you bought the Voucher + Retake Assurance option at £423 + VAT (£507.60 inc. VAT), the retake is included in that price: the same voucher covers one retake of the same exam version within the voucher's 12 months and before SY0-701 retires on 11 June 2027, and you book the retake with the same voucher code. If you bought the single voucher and need to retake, you will need to purchase another voucher. We recommend the Retake Assurance option for first-time candidates.

What is the difference between Security+ and other CompTIA certs?

Security+ is the foundational cybersecurity certification from CompTIA. It sits between A+/Network+ (IT entry) and CySA+/PenTest+ (cybersecurity specialisations).

Where can I sit the exam?

Anywhere. You book through Pearson VUE and apply the voucher code at checkout, then sit the exam at any Pearson VUE testing centre globally, or via OnVUE online proctoring from anywhere with a stable internet connection.

What is the difference between the Single User and Retake Assurance options?

The Single User voucher gives one person one attempt at the SY0-701 exam for £319 + VAT (£382.80 inc. VAT). The Retake Assurance option at £423 + VAT (£507.60 inc. VAT) is one voucher that also covers one retake of the same exam version if your first attempt does not pass, used within the voucher's 12 months and before CompTIA retires that exam version. If you pass on the first try, the retake is simply not used. The retake is included in the Retake Assurance price: the price difference pays for that safety net only.

Do you offer Security+ training, or just the voucher?

We sell the SY0-701 exam voucher on its own, and CompTIA's official CertMaster training for SY0-701 in the CompTIA training bundles on this page, each with an exam voucher that includes Retake Assurance. We do not run our own Security+ classes, and a voucher on its own pays for the exam only. For exam preparation we recommend a structured study path: the official CompTIA CertMaster Learn, a free Security+ video course, and timed practice questions through any reputable provider. If you are also pursuing the ISO 27001 Lead Auditor or Lead Implementer track for compliance roles, see our PECB course range.

What is in a Security+ training bundle, and how is it delivered and redeemed?

Each bundle pairs CompTIA's official CertMaster training for SY0-701 with an SY0-701 exam voucher that includes Retake Assurance. The Complete Bundle has CertMaster Learn + Labs and CertMaster Practice, the Learn and Exam Bundle has CertMaster Learn, and the Practice and Exam Bundle has CertMaster Practice. We email your CertMaster access keys and your exam voucher code within 24 hours of payment. You redeem each access key at CompTIA (login.comptia.org) within 12 months of purchase, and it then gives 12 months of access from the day you redeem it. You book the exam with the voucher code through CompTIA Central and Pearson VUE, as with any CompTIA voucher. The voucher and its retake are valid 12 months from issue, or until CompTIA retires SY0-701, if sooner: SY0-701 retires on 11 June 2027, so plan to sit the exam, and any retake, before then. If your first attempt does not pass, the same voucher covers one retake of the same exam version, and the retake is included in the price.

How does Security+ compare to ISO 27001 Lead Auditor?

Security+ validates foundational, vendor-neutral cybersecurity skills across threats, architecture, operations, and governance. ISO 27001 Lead Auditor validates the ability to plan and conduct ISMS audits against the ISO 27001 standard. They cover different problem spaces: Security+ is the operational security foundation, ISO 27001 LA is the audit and compliance layer. Many cybersecurity careers hold both. See our PECB ISO 27001 Lead Auditor course for the audit pathway. For the implementer-side comparison, see our Security+ vs ISO 27001 Lead Implementer guide.
