The retake is included in the Retake Assurance price. With a single voucher, a retake needs a new voucher. Under CompTIA's retake policy there is no waiting period before a second attempt, and a 14-day wait applies before a third or later attempt.

PT0-003 has five domains: Engagement Management (13%), Reconnaissance and Enumeration (21%), Vulnerability Discovery and Analysis (17%), Attacks and Exploits (35%), and Post-exploitation and Lateral Movement (14%). There are up to 90 questions, multiple choice and performance based, in 165 minutes, and the passing score is 750 on a scale of 100 to 900. The exam is offered in English, French, Japanese and Portuguese.
