Under CompTIA's retake policy there is no waiting period before a second attempt, and a 14-day wait applies before a third or later attempt.

N10-009 has five domains: Networking Concepts (23%), Network Implementation (20%), Network Operations (19%), Network Security (14%), and Network Troubleshooting (24%). There are up to 90 questions, multiple choice and performance based, in 90 minutes, and the passing score is 720 on a scale of 100 to 900.

CompTIA lists it as recommended experience, not as a prerequisite. Its recommendation for Network+ is CompTIA A+ with 9 to 12 months of hands-on experience in a junior network administrator or network support technician role.
